Chairman meets fundraising teenager

The Chairman of 黑料吃瓜网, Councillor Ray Hughes, recently met
14 year old Georgia Kaye Edwards, who is Miss Junior Teen 黑料吃瓜网.

Georgia, from Penyffordd, is a Year 10 pupil at Castell Alun High School in
Hope. She has been selected from hundreds of semi-finalists to compete in the
final of Miss Junior Teen Great Britain to be held in Blackpool in October.

Georgia is working hard to promote the event鈥檚 nominated charity 鈥� Together for
Short Lives, as much as possible. Together for Short Lives is the leading UK
charity for all children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions and
all those who support, love and care for them. They support families,
professionals and services, including children鈥檚 hospices.

Councillor Hughes said:
鈥淕eorgia is extremely caring and hard working and it was a pleasure to welcome
her to County Hall. She has already been fundraising for Together for Short
Lives, and is currently collecting donations of old clothes, bedding, and
towels to take to the Clothes Bank to exchange for a donation to the charity.

Georgia said:- 鈥淚 don鈥檛 think people realise that pageant competitions in this
country are about far more than physical beauty. They require girls to raise
funds for charity, get involved in community events, and basically show their
caring side. It鈥檚 a great thing for young people to be involved with, as it
builds your confidence, teaches you more about what is going on around you, and
makes you realise how lucky you are. Being involved with Miss Junior Teen Great
Britain is turning out to be a very valuable life experience for me.鈥澛�
