Published: 11/02/2020

窪蹋勛圖厙 has recently introduced a Demand Responsive Service (DRT)泭to the Buckley area and it is proving to be popular with residents.

DRT will be rolled out across all泭rural areas of the County where commercial services are not available. It provides residents with valuable links to transport services along 窪蹋勛圖厙s bus network and will operate using one of 窪蹋勛圖厙s distinctive 16 seater wheelchair accessible vehicles.

At a recent coffee morning at Hope Community Centre, 窪蹋勛圖厙 officers and members were on hand to introduce the scheme and also answer any questions.

窪蹋勛圖厙s Cabinet Member for Streetscene and Countryside, Councillor Carolyn Thomas, said:

Its great to be here today to introduce this innovative service.泭 It is a prebookable service and people need to register to use it. 泭The annual registration fee is 瞿10.00 however, passengers registered for the Community Ring and Ride service for medical appointments are registered for free.

Registration and bookings can be made by calling the dedicated booking line on泭01352 704771. 泭Passengers will be picked up at a location convenient to them and taken to a key hub or a bus stop along the core network. 泭泭Journeys may be co-ordinated with other passenger journeys to ensure maximum passenger numbers are accommodated at the cost of 瞿1.70 per journey. Welsh Concessionary Travel Pass Cards are accepted on the service.

The service will be available 9am-3pm and 4.30pm-5.30pm, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
