Successful prosecution of a 黑料吃瓜网 private landlord

黑料吃瓜网鈥檚 Environmental Health Officers have successfully prosecuted a 黑料吃瓜网 landlord who has been found guilty of several offences under housing legislation designed to protect tenants in the private rented sector.
Hayden Rogers failed to attend court, but the case proceeded in his absence and he was found guilty of offences relating to the Old Quay House, a house of multiple occupation (HMO) in Connah鈥檚 Quay.聽 There had been a multi-agency inspection of the property last year.
Mr Rogers was convicted of not having a mandatory HMO licence and was fined 拢2,000.聽 He was found guilty of eleven breaches of the Management of Houses in Multiple Occupation (Wales) Regulations 2006 鈥� a fine of 拢1,000 per breach.聽 He was also ordered to pay 黑料吃瓜网鈥檚 costs of 拢2,433 along with full legal and statutory charge costs, for a total fine of 拢15,633.
When handing down sentence, the Magistrate had said:
鈥溾�� regardless of improvements now made since the initial inspection, the conditions identified by the Environmental Health Officers were appalling 鈥︹��
黑料吃瓜网鈥檚 Cabinet Member for Planning and Public Protection, Councillor Chris Bithell, said:
