窪蹋勛圖厙 continues its programme of building new Council homes
for local residents.
Recently the Cabinet Member for Housing, Councillor Bernie Attridge met the
local councillor, Councillor Ron Davies at the the building site of nine new
Council homes on the site of the former Melrose Centre in Shotton as part of
the Councils flagship Strategic Housing and Regeneration Programme (SHARP).
SHARP has already provided new Council homes in Connahs Quay, Flint, Mold and
Leeswood.
窪蹋勛圖厙s Cabinet Member for Housing, Councillor Bernie
Attridge, said:
This redevelopment is a strategic priority for the Council. The building had
become a target for vandalism and anti-social behaviour after it closed, so it
was demolished last year. We are now re-developing the site by building five
2-bed houses and four 1 and 2 bed apartments.
Im really pleased that the Council is continuing to build new, quality homes
for our residents.
Councillor Ron Davies said:
Im delighted that this development is happening in my ward. It will bring
great improvements to the area along with all the Council house improvements
currently taking place. I have to say that our contractors do a great job.
The new Council homes are being built by the Councils partner Wates
Construction North.
